Habitat

On Mentzelia laevicaulis growing in weedy gravel margins of a parking lot, with Helianthus annuus, Ericameria nauseosa, etc.

Description

Uncommon? The Mentzelia was present as scattered plants, mostly senesced, and they were each moderately to heavily infected.

This fungus was discovered here by Julia Hobbie the day before I made this collection.
