Habitat
On the midslope of an extremely steep, 200ft, N-facing bluff. Quite local on a rather dry limestone cliff that rises 20-60+ft. Occasional to frequent in crevices and on narrow ledges. Shaded much of the day, with Betula alleghaniensis, C.bulbifera, Pellaea glabella, Galium boreale, etc.
