Hiked From the western side of the range heading east, followed the central wash north until reaching the saddle, then west towards the ridgeline. Pinyon-juniper woodland with adjacent salt brush community, ordovician limestone/dolomite with poorly sorted substrate, and one portion of quartzite.

Sloped terrain, on open hillside, with Cercocarpus intricatus, Linum lewisii, Lomatium, Stenotus acaulis, on 10% slope.
