Hiked From the western side of the range heading east, followed the central wash north until reaching the saddle, then west towards the ridgeline. Pinyon-juniper woodland with adjacent salt brush community, ordovician limestone/dolomite with poorly sorted substrate, and one portion of quartzite.

Habitat
Rocky limestone slope with exposed and shallow bedrock. With Castilleja scabrida var. barnebyi, Petrophytum, Cercocarpus intricatus, Glossopetalon spinescens.
