Habitat
Gravelly rocky soil on steep N facing slope, road edge. With Bromus tectorum, Eriocoma hymenoides, Ephedra, Tetradymia, Artemisia.
Description
Purple petals, long fruits; one individual (on road, not collected) nearly 12 in in diam.
Permitting authority
Collected during the Intermountain Botanical Foray 2023, with access, facilities, and support provided by the Rocky Mountain Research Station.
