Habitat
Open sandy/gravelly habitat between raised roadbed and small level meadow/pasture along wooded margins of the stream. Currently dry, but perhaps seasonally washed? Made three Carex collections here (two Acrocystis and one cf. C. cordillerana). Also present were grasses, etc.
Description
Uncommon (?), clumped.
Collection notes
Collected two Acrocystis here, which may be the same thing: a smaller one, with shorter inflorescences and darker foliage (4414) and a larger one with elongate elevated inflorescences and lighter foliage (4416).
