Small pull-off/picnic area on Salmon River Road, ~1.4km NE of Shoup, ~24km W of North Fork (as the crow flies).

Habitat
On dry mossy west-facing slope of small outcrop, with Galium aparine, Boechera cf microphylla (CJR4283), Woodsia scopulina, Collinsia verna, etc. Area was in partial shade of Pinus ponderosa. Present in vicinity were Mahonia, Ribes, Boechera retrofracta, Achillea, Fritillaria, Balsamorrhiza, cf Vaccinium, Prunus virginiana, Cercocarpus, Phlox, Smilacina, Mertensia, Selaginella, Viola, etc.

Collection notes
Made two Claytonia collections in this area--a smaller one on the river side of the road (CJR4384), and a larger one on the opposite slope (4386). Probably the same thing.
