Family
Cyperaceae
Genus
Carex
Specific epithet
albicans
Specific author
Willd. ex Spreng.
Determination by
! (albicans) D.Poindexter 2014.
Date determined
According to
Werier, 2006. Carex reznicekii, a new widespread species of Carex section Acrocystis.
Identification comments
CJR: Doubt this ID (albicans). Might be the same thing as 3790 (cf peckii). Similar in general look to the neighboring cf communis plants (erect culms, cespitose), but smaller (leaves, culms) and with strong red colour in the pistilate scales. And it has some intermediate-length fertile culms (shorter than the leaves).
