Identification comments
CJR: Strange plants? Spikes uniformly short, leaves rather wide and short and spreading and light green, perigynia short-beaked and plump, and culm bases brown-fibrose, with only some indications of red. Versus CJR 3756, which differs in all those?

Description
Locally common with Carex nigromarginata, in dense duff, very sparse understory, in upland hardwood forest of Carya, Cornus, Acer, Quercus spp., etc.
Collection notes
Carex cf albicans, reznicekii, and nigromarginata were all common on this hike. Subsamples were silica-dried for each collection.
