Description
Common on eathern roadside banks, with cf Eupatorium rugosum, Verbesina, Rubus, poison ivy, Viola, etc. Typically occurred higher up on the banks than did the Carex digitalis (CJR 2911). Through rich deciduous forest with Acer rubrum, Bentula lenta, Carya tomentosa, Liriodendron, Robinia, Pinus strobus, etc. Carex cf deflexa (CJR 2909), cf nigromarginata (CJR 2908), appalachica (2910), and laxiflora (2913) were all collected in the vicinity.
