Picture Creek powerline area north of Butner. A mowed powerline clearing through mixed mesic second growth forest dominated by Pinus taeda, Liquidambar styraciflua, Acer rubrum, Acer saccharum, Acer barbatum, Quercus stellata, etc. The basic or circumneutral soil is over diabase rock. SW (by foot) of where Otha Mangum Rd crosses the railway line.

Description
Common with Danthonia, Melica, Rubus, Carex oxylepis (abundant), Carex hirsutella (CJR2863), Solanum carolinense, Carex caroliniana (CJR 2864), etc. Meadow community (often wet) in powerline clearing. Full sun.
