Description
Locally common, one patch, beside gravel track through low deciduous floodplain, with Carex caroliniana (Rothfels et al. 2811), Carex cherokeensis (Rothfels et al. 2814), Chrysogonum, tree seedlings, noxious weedy Lespediza, etc.
Collection notes
In the field, the branches were stiffish, and spreading;ascending--only the bases of the plants were prostrate. The sinuous look of the pressed plants is due to their wilting slightly before being pressed.
