Description
Locally dominant on sunny rich pathside through deciduous forest, with Aster sp., striped maple, hemlock, Anemone quinquefolia, Dryopteris, Medeola, Polystichum, etc.
Collection notes
Plants short-rhizomatous and formed dense clumps rather than sparse patches. A single clump was collected and subsequently divided among seven sheets.
