Habitat
Dry shaded understory of conifer slope forest, with Hieracium albiflorum, Pseudostellaria, Osmorhiza, Geranium, Penstemon whippleanus, etc.
Description
Rare? Only one clump noticed like this (ie, spikelets on long peduncles, perigynia with gradually tapering curved beaks), but might similar plants were common.
Collection notes
Acrocystis sedges were common, but I'm sure they were all the same species or not (see CJR5746, 5747, 5754).
