Notes from Gerald Peters (June 21, 2000): " B. MEX 2+ (Strain previously designated X2 at VCU). Free of epiphytic contaminants. This was maintained as BR-GL- CK at Kettering and brought to VCU. It was collected by Steve Ela in July 1974 and received at CFKRL in June 1979. The origin is Graylodge, hence the GL, it was collected at the Graylodge State Waterfowl Area, Butte County, CA. This isolate corresponds to IRRI collection ME 2001. Note that ME 2007 is the same isolate.
