Habitat
Cutbank of a small ravine, eroded into a broad, gently-sloping sand terrace at the base of a 300ft bluff. Shaded, N-facing, mostly where the bank sharply rises 6-12 ft. Overgrown barrens savanna/woodland complex. Conopy of Quercus velutina and Juglans nigra. Fine sand, often in moss matts. With Ribes missouriense, Zanthoxylum, Juniperus virginiana, etc.
