Habitat
Narrow valley bottomland and toe of steep, 300ft SW-facing bluff. Rich mesic hardwood forest recovering from moderate past grazing. Inerrupted canopy with Celtis occidentalis, Acer saccharum, Ulmus rubra, and Fraxinus nigra. Sparse understory. Shade to partial sun. Deep organic silt. With Claytonia virginica, Adoxa moschatellina, etc.
