Habitat
On thin soil over rocks on bank/slope, with tussock grasses, etc. What seems to be this taxon was common and widespread on this hike to the waterfall, but with a lot of variation (made three collections here: PC058, 059, and 063).

Locally common.

I think I associated the data from iNat correctly with this observation, but I may have mixed up some of the Cheilanthes observations from today.
