Specific locality
Picture Creek powerline area north of Butner. A mowed powerline clearing through mixed mesic second growth forest dominated by Pinus taeda, Liquidambar styraciflua, Acer rubrum, Acer saccharum, Acer barbatum, Quercus stellata, etc. The basic or circumneutral soil is over diabase rock. SW (by foot) of where Otha Mangum Rd crosses the railway line.

Description
Common in tire ruts and other depressions in open wet-meadow community (gas line right-of-way?), with Eleocharis cf. obtusa, Carex cf. lurida, Alisma, Carex frankii, etc. On mud, in full sun.
