Two separate attempts to sequence atpB resulted in chromatograms with double bands at several positions. Contamination by another unrelated fern or non-fern seems unlikely, as there were not that many positions. Multiple chloroplast genomes or contamination by another species of Diplazium potential explanations? -ES
