Habitat
Growing at the bottom of a small riverbed surrounded by dry montane meadow. With Lonicera involucrata, Ribes montigenum, Geranium, Artemisia ludoviciana, Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Ipomopsis tenuituba, Aquilegia coerulea ochrulea.
Description
Forming large thickets. No male catkins visible at the time.
