With Melica, Ligusticum, Penstemon, Helianthella, etc., in slight swale in grassy/low forb-dominated knoll.
Description
Locally common as dense patches.
Collection notes
One inflorescence had an Ustilaginaceae infection--see iNaturalist 255703423.
