Hiked From the western side of the range heading east, followed the central wash north until reaching the saddle, then west towards the ridgeline. Pinyon-juniper woodland with adjacent salt brush community, ordovician limestone/dolomite with poorly sorted substrate, and one portion of quartzite.

Habitat
Growing in dolomitic limestone scree on east aspect on exposed slope. Associated with Petradoria pumila, Cercocarpus, Ephedra viridis.

Collected during the Intermountain Botanical Foray 2023, with access, facilities, and support provided by the Rocky Mountain Research Station.
