Desert Experimental Range (DER). SW corner, south of Highway. Entered at gate, headed S in valley. Open gravelly soil with gentle knolls and low points. Deeper away from the highway at the base of red rock mountains.
Habitat
Fine, silty soil with small rocks; farther away from highway 20 next to large exposed rock mountains; with winter fat, Halogeton, snakeweed, rice grass, Eriogonum.
Description
Small, branched; deep purple stems; tiny white flowers.
