Plant was a 3 m tall young hybrid, with dark green keeled leaves. Not flowering. Edge of road next to forest dominated by Pinus taeda.

This specimen was collected as part of a study investigating the establishment of A. cf kalkora and its hybrization with A. julibrissin; this plant is accession number Albiz-9.
