Description
Common, local, in backyard garden area, with Duchesnea, cultivated shrubs, herbaceous weeds, etc. Area open, but surrounded by Pinus forest, with Hedera, Vinca, Ligusticum, etc. Plants were originally planted, but have spread (currently a limited distance--approx. 2m) into an additional area of the garden. Not yet found in the surrounding forested area. One garden area featured many seedlings that appeared to be this species, implying viable seeds. The landowner reports it to be a very aggressive weed; their attempts at eradication haven't been remotely successful thus far.
