Habitat
Plants are scattered along the edge up from the water in muddy soil near the water's edge, or slightly up from water's edge. No plants observed in the water. Plants scattered, sparse and usually found without other Isoetes within ca. 5-6 inches.
Description
Sporangia mature, velum complete, leaf scales present, few with phyllopodia, most plants with both mega- or microsporangia. Spores dark grey when wet, light grey when dry. Ornamentation tuberculate to echinate.
Collection notes
Plants of various sizes. Smaller plants found close to water, while larger plants found further away from the water.
