Habitat
On Eriogonum heracleoides (CJR 6244) growing in small cracks and pockets in limestone (dolomite?) outcrop, with Penstemon cyananthus, Agastrache, etc. Exposed, in area of meadow slopes.

On the underside of some of the lower leaves; I didn't notice this rust in the field and only discovered it the next day when I was processing the Eriogonum specimen.
