Habitat
On extremely steep mid-slope of a 200ft W-facing bluff. Several clumps in a quite localized algific zone. In partial shade of Juniperus virginiana, Quercus macrocarpa, Tilia americana, and Pinus strobus. Cool, moist, silty limestone talus and in small voids in nearby limestone outcrops. With Cryptogramma stelleri, C.bulbifera, etc.
