Habitat
On dry mossy west-facing slope of small outcrop, with Galium aparine, Claytonia cf perfoliata, Woodsia scopulina, Collinsia verna, etc. The Boechera prefered areas right at the margin of the outcrop (ledges, etc.) and the soil. Area was in partial shade of Pinus ponderosa. Present in vicinity were Mahonia, Ribes, Boechera retrofracta, Achillea, Fritillaria, Balsamorrhiza, cf Vaccinium, Prunus virginiana, Cercocarpus, Phlox, Smilacina, Mertensia, Selaginella, Viola, etc.
