Above 12-Mile Creek, up the slope past the first switchback in the 12-Mile County Road. On this hike I started at 12-Mile Co. Rd at the switchback and hiked up the 4x4 track above the S side of the creek, which then veers south and west.

Habitat
On open hot gravelly SE-facing slope, with Balsamorrhiza (blooming), Delphinium, scattered sagebrush, grasses, Eriogonum, Lomatium, etc.
Description
Fairly common.
Collection notes
These plants wilted before pressing -- in life their heads were erect. Some plants in the population had very short (or missing) ligulate flowers.
