"South Butner Cedar Glades." On the E side of West B Street, at the north end of Falls Lake, ~3.5 km N of the intersection of West B/Gate 1 Rd and Hwy 85. A small woodlot that stretches from the road to the railway tracks, between two sets of residential areas.

Habitat
Dry "diabase glade" dominated by Juniperus, with diverse hardwoods and herbs. Abundant Rhus aromatica, Symphoricarpos occidentalis, Scleria, etc. Many NC-rare plants present.
Description
Common on edges of openings. Perhaps some variation present in hairiness?
