California, Santa Cruz County; Santa Cruz Mountains. Trail to Eagle Peak from Little Basin Rd. Hwy 236 from Boulder Creek, go 6+ miles, turn left on Little Basin Rd., go about 2 miles up to a fire rd. that goes off to the left; this is the beginning of the trail. You can't go any further down the road, there is a large sign that says Little Basin across the road.

Habitat
Growing in seeps and wet banks with Viola ocellata, Modesta whipplea, Heuchera micrantha, Dentaria californica, Trientalis latifolia, other ferns and wet seep shade plants.
